    Have two older version v-plows
Have two ultra mounts - straight blades.
The motors look identical -- here lies question.
I ordered a new 21500 motor, when it arrived the two post are different.

Did I order the wrong motor or did I order a newer version.

the one that came has the post side by side
the ones I have on all my plows have the positive on upper casing and the negative on the lower casing

    any help would be appreciated
    thanks kindly

Is the only difference the location of the negative post? the location of the post doesnt really change anything. its just a post screwed into the motor housing. should be just a basic electric motor. positive, negative. shaft and a few magnets.

    correct me if im wrong.

yes, that's the right motor. On the current 21500-1 the posts are side by side, and it works on all the Western plows with black power units, except the Suburbanite.
