western slow up and down

    works at a decent speed left to right but super slow going up and down.plow lights dim hard on the up .any ideas will be greatly appreciated for this newbie.cheers::confused:

    Had an old cable operated Western that did that, needed to lube up the cables

    not sure dieslelss,iam a newbie and bought the truck with the plow.looks old and has seen better days. how does one tell?

    well do you have a small square controller with wires coming out of it?
    or is it a big square mounted somewhere solid and a long handle coming out the center of it?
    at the front of the truck,,with the plow off, does the light bar stay with the plow or the truck?
    do you have electrical connectors at the grill?

    small square contoller.light bar stays with plow.conections at grill.

    Always ask your buddy twice if touched anything ( such as turning in the quil)
