is it possible to change out an older cable controlled pump to a newer style that uses a hand held controller?

Which style? Is the pump under the hood or on the plow headgear? It can be done, I'm actually gathering the parts to do one right now.

Your talking some $$ if you want to do it all new.

You would need to find a new (used) pump assembly that is electric over hyd.. You can re use your motor and pump, as well as your lift ram components if need be. You would then need to rewire your truck and pull out the old system.

Your looking anywhere from $300 - $1000 or so. It all depends on what you can find at a good price.

What size plow is this? I have a line on a brand new pump assembly, but it's for a smaller plow.
