I have a 7.6 Western plow on a 2000 Chev Silverado 8.1 gas engine where the pump motor operates but the plow will not go up and down or move sideways at all.

I tried replacing the key pad, but it still doesn't work. Checked all the relays and they seem to be working. Checked wiring harness, and there doesn't seem to be a problem there.

Hope somebody has any ideas or suggestions.

    Appreciate any help!

    Thanks!

    1. check your power cords at the plow. anything green? if yes, clean up.
    2. do the coils magnetize when a function is selected?

more than likely a ground issue, are there 3 pins in the main power cord? the small pin is power to the valves, you must have this pin, or nothing will work.

If the pump motor is working then maybe check the fluid level?
