on the motor/pump assembly, its got a number B1151834

    heres the problem:

when i go to raise my plow (its a 99-00 uni-mount 8 footer), all it does is make a whirring or motor "weeeeeeeee" sound, the blade does not lift.

Where would you guys point me as the first spot to check for diagnosis!?

    -Juan

    thanks all!

Will it go left or right?
Could be a whole lot of things.
First thing I'd do is take the motor off, drain the fluid, and clean the intake screen on the pump.

why swap it out, thats what westerns run. i would say that you are either low on fluid or it may have been froze. maybe drain and refill it. run it up down and side to side a few times and do it again.

Nothing wrong with using tranny fluid. A lot cheaper and easier to find in a pinch. Unless you are plowing in -40 degrees on a regular basis, ATF is more than fine.
