I posted this in the Western forum as well:

Is the Western 8'6" MVP mount and harness the same for a 04 Ford F350 and an 03 F450?

Thanks, I just did that but I dont know if the 04 F350 was built before or after 12/1/2003, which seems to be the determining factor on it fitting the 03 F450.

i'm not 100% on this, but i think the issue has to do with whether or not the truck has leaf or coil springs.

Coil springs started in 2005 for 250's and 350's anyway. Get the build date somehow...

Build date of the 04 F350 is 12/2003. Western says on or after 12/1/2003 is considered the "later" so I would have to think it's got the different mount than whats need for a 03 F450.

Well, I now own an 03 F450 4x4 dump with 57k on the clock after writing the check out, I don't think it was a bad deal at 21,400. Also ordered a Western 8.5 ProPlus that should be installed next week sometime. Still waiting for insurance papers so I can pick up the truck and drive home.
