My 06 mvp plow seems to have amind of its own, it shuts off or does one thing when I ask it for another. Is this my controller or what?

Have you cleaned all the electrical connections (plow side, truck side, and controller)? If that doesn't help I'd lean towards the controller being the problem.

Same here...connections first and then I'd suspect the controller if it's a cab command hand held unit.

I'd use some electric contact cleaner and them add some dielectric grease. Check all of the pins while doing this to make sure non of them are bent, rusty, or missing.
