two small wires go to the small terminals

red wire from the plow motor goes to one side (big post)
red 22" battery cable goes to the other post (big post)

The two small posts are simply for the electro-magnet that activates the switch, they are not polarity sensitive so it doesn't matter witch one goes on which pin. What does matter is where the small wirre with the big loop goes. Some have this and some don't so not knowing what model plow you have we can't say for sure if you have one. But if you do make sure it goes on the "hot" side of the two big screws. That is the side that goes directly to the battery positive post of the battery.
