I have an old cable western. Rebuilt all seals and installed new ram. Plow goes uo and down great but no left to right. Hydraulic line looks to be torquing when trying to go left. Please help i have about 1000 hours into installling back blade and trying to fix this. Well not 1000 but seems like it

If you take the lines off angle rams can you move the plow by hand? Had a Meyer plow come into the shop that angle rams had seized to the packing and pump was unable to angle plow. Ended having to tear rams apart to get everything working again.

Thanks thats a good idea to try. Wont the rams still have pressure though even after taking lines off?

Hooked one line to the other side to allow for hydraulic flow. Moved back and forth easily

Not if you unbolt lines from ram, just watch for flying fluid. If you can't move plow with lines off something is bond up.

    Moved freely

Unfortunately that wasnt it. It is odd the amount of torque on hydraulic line when trying to move it with motor. Something isnt releasing

Have you tried adjusting the cables. You should be able to find manual on Western's site.

If cables are not hooked up try holding the the 3 way valve in lower position while trying to angle. The shuttle valve may be moving without cables hooked up.

If lift valve is out of adjustment it will block fluid from getting to reservoir from angle rams. If memory serves right you will need to turn out the lift valve.

if quick coupler is plugged it will not angle. Try new couplers.

His lines seem to be showing pressure in them, but no flow. If when hooked together he can move it side to side by hand, I would look at the couplers.
