Western 1000 cracked tub

    Anyone ever crack the tub of their spreader and if so what did you use to fix it? Replace the tub? Epoxy? JB weld? Looking for ideas if anyone can help. Btw.....it's a pretty big crack across the front.

    My Meyer TGS had cracks at the vibrator and intern baffle mount locations.
    1st thing is to drill a hole (3/16-1/4") at the end of the crack, this will prevent the crack from going any further.
    I made 2 plates out of 1/4" HDPE to cover the area where the hopper is cracked on both sides. Next I welded a frame to mount the plates, again inside and outside and used SS hardware.
