My walk behind spreader is covered in salt. Is it okay to wash this out after each use? Ive heard in the past that water can get into the gear box and cause problems...is this true? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance

I power wash all my walk behinds and tailgate spreaders after each use...If you have a unit with a covered gear box (great) just keep the nozzle away... Clean equipment is happy equipment.
