I have a question, I have rec 1099's from a my commerical accounts.

I have a New company that I took on and there based in Ohio, well they sent me a W-9 and told me to fill it out and return it.
Do I have to give them all that info, there asking for?
I have already given them my EIN and my company name a address.
What is the reason for the W-9?

That's always interesting. I love it when people do weird stuff like that. It always makes me think that they are trying to screw me. I'm just always a little gun shy about people.

Me too, I hate to ask my attorney about it.
He'll just give me a stupid look and say, I told you "Don't give your S.S# to anyone" about your business.

After you have been in the service business for a while you begin to hate people. Not anyone in particular, just everyone. I have become a real homebody. The ones i really hate I just charge more. If they cancel, no sweat, thank god i don't have to deal with them anymore.

I know the feeling, but I try to screen them before hand.
There were 3 customers I got this past year, that I suspected would cause issue's.
I was right everyone of them were BIG PITA's, I just dropped them.
Needless to say since, I just wont even bother with them.
I really have to many customers now, for the equipment my LLC owns.

    Thank's for the info!

I'm getting in that situation. I have very good ties to a local hospital that has asked me to "bid" ;) on their properties. So i'm starting tolook for a spreader. Seems like equipment keeps piling up.
