Recently installed a larger alternator and dual batteries on 79 ford.
How can I get the most out of the new alternator?

Should the factory voltage regulator (original) be replaced with something different?
    Thanks

First off you should post this in the Ford section below for better responses. After running Fords for many years i learned not to mess with Ford alternators as they are junk IMO. Put a 105 amp GM alternator on it and never look back, you will even see the amp gauge work when you do this.
