    Obenauf has a website.....

Careful though, price gets expensive once you add 15% for tax and buyers premium.

that buyers premium makes me not want to bid on anything at all not unless it was next to nothing plus the tax you also have to add onto it a few bucks more you can can buy at a store or car lot and return or have a waranty on what you buy.

I've watched some in the past. Everything goes way high.

Yeah, something about those auctions... I've been to a bunch of them and I watch them online and stuff usually ends up going for retail. It must be the auction environment.

I went to Bryan's last summer. Some things went for ridiculously high amounts, some went really low... you never know, all depends who is there and what they need and how badly...

They have a 10% buyers premium.

I don't know who started that buyers premium crap but an auction used to be you go you bid you buy it if your the winner . if the seller wanted to make a certain amount they would start it a little higher. and most go for more than you could buy them at a normal store or place. especially equipment why buy crap that you can't get checked out. ??

That's why I don't go anymore.I used to like going to the small mom and pop auction companies auctions especially when they were in Butt_ _ _ _sville,PA and NY.I once bought a nice $5K trailer for $900--the owner was really pissed nobody bid against me.

Now if i do go to one i don't go with the intetion of buying but rather to see how much they will over pay while bidding then figure out the extra they will pay.and to be honst i have not seen any good equipment come from any of the ones i have been to the last one i went to was a wood working shop they had a forklift i might of been interested in but it was leaking all over the place for years from the look of it so we left.

there are still some around here with no buyers premium.

something about auctions lately....stuff goes for good money still.
you would think that the bargains would be plentiful......

From what I understand, thats just the way the auction is setup--thats how the company holding the auction makes money. The items come in on consignment at no cost to the owner, makes it a lot more attractive to the seller.... which makes for a much larger auction. Bryan's is bloody huge. Man did I come out of there with a bad sunburn, was there so long looking around....

But there are bargains to be had. There were two used dump trailers last time that sold for $1200 and 1000 respectively... a lot of medium duty trucks went really cheap too. Former municipal diesel single-axle dump trucks with snowplow, sander, and wing were going for $5k in ready to use condition... And they had two full rows of them.

Trailer has a 20' deck + 4' beaver tail. Also has under deck tool box and (4) nylon straps and winches.
