Anybody plow for VDOT? How does that work out? I'm looking more at doing the subdivisions as I have a Chevy 2500hd. I was told by one person, the details I don't really remember, that they cover the insurance or portions of it..........help?

Some of the info is correct. You bid on an hourly rate, and they pay you $750 per truck to help cover ins. You need &1mil liability ins on vehicles, but in some areas of the state a waiver for only $500k can be obtained.
