    I have a `79 Chevy K10 with a 350ci and a holly 4bbl in it.

The engine that I have in it I picked up at a junk yard. I just got it up and running and it sounds like it has a bad vacuum leak from the intake of the carb? It also looks like it's spitting some fuel from the top of the carb. Any suggestions as to what it could be would be appreciated.

to find a vacuum leak just take a bottle of carb cleaner and spray it around all the connections and you will here the engine revv up when you shoot the leak
