We currently have a tailgate salter on one of our plow trucks. I would like to swith to a V box, but am concerned that it will slow the truck down to much when plowing. I would like opions on how much it will slow us down, I know we will make up some of the time by being able to just salt vs break bags then salt. Thanks

Mike, I dont see any slow down in production from having a box in the truck, but alot of time savings not loading the tailgate spreader many times over per event.

The reduced visibility may slow the driver down some at first, but once he gets used to it he will be fine.

If the unit is fully loaded, you may have to be a little more careful when plowing with it,but it shouldn't slow you down too much.If you can,do all your loading and salting after your plowing is done.
