v blade install???

    i am about to be installing a v blade on my 05 dodge ram 3500 with a leveling kit. i do not got any instructions but how high is the mount suppose to be at>? also can i install it and then adjust the highth after? or does it have to be done before you drill the holes in the frame? if anyone has some instructions or some input id really like the hear from you

    Yes, you can install the mount and adjust the push beam at the end. With your leveling kit, you will probably find that you will need to mount it at the lowest setting. If you run 285or taller tires, you will need to modify your mounts to keep the V level in all positions.

    You can download and print off instructions from the BOSS website.

    also do you have to drill any holes in the frame of a 05 dodge ram 3500 to mount it?

    I can tell you however that your 35's will be an issue.

    Yea.......I ditched my 35's for 285's and I still had to have my mount fabricated to be lowered 2 inches in order for my V-XT to sit straight on the ground.

    did you just add 2 inchs to the bottum of the brackets. did you have to do anything with braces?

    Yes, the fabricator welded in triangular gussets at the bottom end of the rear arms (where the bolt holes are).

    He did a great job and I haven't had any problems with it.

    You don't happen to have any pictures of the weld job do you?
    That would be interesting to see how they did that.
