I have an older Unimount I adapted to a 1999 Chevy Silverado. It has the 9 pin connector at the grille and I am continually having issues with this connection. Has anybody ever used something else, or is there a way to eliminate this connector and use a different type of connector so I stop having trouble with this plug? I was thinking of using a trailer plug but not sure if it will work. Any help or advise appreciated.
