I purchased a new motor relay for my 7.5 western unimount. However, the existing one that is on the truck is wired opposite than what the directions say on the new motor relay. ie: the battery hook-up and the motor hook-up are opposite on the existing relay than the new one should be in the directions. Should I follow what is on the truck or follow the direction supplied?

I think you are talking about the two big wires. If you are then it won't matter they can go on either side.

None of the wires matter which side they're on. All it it doing is closing a loop.
