I just installed a 6&1/2' unimount plow on my 99 Dakota. The plow was origanally installed on a 93 dakota. My lights all work on the truck when the plow is not connected but when I connect the plow the plow headlights come on when the parking lights only are selected and the high beam indicator is on also. When I turn the headlights on the lights stay the same as when just the parking lights are on as described above. All the turnsignals and parking lights work the right way. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have too many relays hooked up. Make sure you followed the correct schematic for your headlights.

I am using the schematic from westerns website for 97 and newer Dakota's. It shows only 2 relays being used. I just found today that there is a diffrent harness used on 99 dakotas that require 4 relays. Is this the one I should be using?

Yup, should be a 4 relay system.

Thanks. I located the right harness today and will hopefully get it installed this weekend. Wish me luck
