Uni-Mount lift ram leaking

    You need 28 it's the lift ram seal kit with wiper. Might also need the lift ram IF it's pitted. Not that hard to change out. Change the fluid while your at it too

    Thank you sir the ram is clean except maybe the top 1/4 inch but that dosent get to the seal but I'll double check when I pull it apart and I will definitly change the fluid while I'm at it

    Have you tried just tightening the gland nut? This model has a compression seal. That means you can add tension to the seal by turning the nut a bit. The new Rams don't have that kind of seal anymore.

    Just keep on turning and testing until it either stops leaking or is too tight to drop the blade. If it begins to bind but still leaks go with a seal kit.

    well i might have lied about the ram being clean...its pretty bad so im going to have to replace that as well but the nut and the ram came out with ease. now im just waiting for the part :mechanic:

    Ok. Yea then the ram, and the packing kit. Inspect the nut as well for bad threads.

    I think I'm just going to go ahead and replace the nut as well, it can't hurt
