Ultra Mount Pivot weld crack?

Discussion in 'Western Plows Discussion' started by mklawnman, Feb 26, 2010.

  1. I have a 6 year old Poly Pro Ultra mount, and I noticed a crack forming on the pivot bolt that lets the plow float a bit from side to side near the truck. Heres a picture below to show what I am talking about. Is this a crack or what exactly is that, a spacer for the bolt to go through that has cracked off the frame?

It is a bushing for the bolt to go through. Mine also cracked, it is only welded on the one side. I welded mine on both sides and ground the mating surfaces smooth. I also did the smae on the a-frame. I have a back drag bar on mine, that will cause it to wear faster.
