I have an opportunity to bid a truck stop for next season. I am familiar with the location, but as of yet have not met with the manager to know exactly what he is looking for. I realize that every area is different for pricing. I am just looking for any helpful suggestions as I have never plowed anything like a truck stop. I have done mostly residential and small commercial. I currently have one plow truck and a skid loader. I have another plow that I would put on another truck if I got the job. I would also have to get a plow or pusher for skid as it currently only has regular bucket. Thanks for the help.

If it is a Big truck stop you will need a loader. What size is the lot? how often do they want it plowed?

I would guess 4 to 5acres of lot to plow. I have not been able to go meet manager on it yet. We did some home improvement work for him this past year. Just recently bumped into him and found out he had to fire his plow guys this year because it was taking them too long to get to the job. He has someone to finish the year, but will let me bid for next year. Will post more info when I get it.

I live 2 miles from one, it's done with an older loader lot always looks like crap,

Packs down quick with traffic, trucks are akways in the way, and they park where the snow goes,

Not a lot of thought process in a drivers brain!
