Trip spring adjustment?

I have a new 8'6" ultramount pro plus on my f250. I have adjusted the trip springs as per the manual to where you can slide a piece of paper between the 2nd or 3rd coils.

I wonder if this adjustment is correct, some times when hitting say the lowered curb edge between the street and a driveway it will stop the truck rather than trip. Is this normal? How do you guys adjust and what should trip the blade?

Thats how the should be set and not tripping when hitting the curb edge at low speeds is normal.
