can you trickle charge a battery while its still in the truck? My reasoning is we'll be in a cold snap for a while and thought it might be a thing to do... I've never done it before, so what do you guys think?

In my oppinion, it would be a good idea as long as it is a low rate of charge. Something like 2 amps would be good.

Do you have dual batts? A 2 amp charge would be perfect for a two battery maintanence charge. Optima says you can charge like this indefinitely. As long as the voltage is right, under 17 I think.
