    Hi guys. I have a 89 GMC Jimmy S15 4X4 auto . It has a 3 inch body lift.
As in driving down the road the 4X4 Shifter starts to make a grinding sound like its trieng to go in to 4 wheel drive. I pull back on the shifter a little then push back to 2 wheel its fine. happens 3 or 4 times a week. I was thinking it was cause of the body lift made the 4X4 shifter shorter in the truck due to its lift. now to me it seems the shifter is not getting all the way forward its hitting the metal on the hump not letting it go to 2 wheel all the way. Or am i totaly wrong?
