    I am looking at buying a 2001 chevy 2500 with an 8.1l engine and an alison trans in it I was wondering what you think for that trans ant input would be great thank you

    great tranny and motor but its a gas hog.

    Thats a dependable, and very powerful truck.
    Despite its reputation, the allison has had some problems. I'm not sure if their just rare problems, since its new, but i just wanted to bring that to attention.

    Unfortunatly Chevys aren't built like they were in the 80's, but still I've always been a Chevy/GMC fan... i think overal you'll have good luck with this truck.
