Just wondering what everyones normal operating temps are and what they run when they plow.

My truck is a 04 F-150 5.4L and I think its the 4L70E trans. I average about 138' driving normally and mid to high 150's when plowing most of the time. I saw it get as hot at 170' once on the freeway with the plow on.

Just had the truck flushed this week and the old fluid looked fine, dealer said it shows no signs of concern, and I put Royal Purple in for added protection (plus friction reducer).

So whats the temps that I should be worried about? I think a 20-30' change when plowing for a long time is not so bad but when should I be worried and pull over and give it a rest?
