Hey guys I have a 2001 dodge 2500 diesel and it has drum brakes in the back. Well my wuestion is when Im pulling or empty, in a turn my rear end shudders but only when torque is applied from the driveshaft. I looked at the brakes and they are great, I was wondering if maybe the axle nut is loose I checked all the fluids and it does have a limited slip rear end thanks for your help!

Sounds like your limited slip may be a bit on the tight side.I would add some limited slip additive,or friction modifier,an ounce at a time, until it gets better,or goes away.

After adding each ounce, take it out for a good drive, and do some tight figure eights to get the addtive worked into the clutch packs.

It also wouldn't hurt to change the fluid, and maybe look at a synthetic.Don't put any friction modifier in at first, and see how it is.If it's still bad, then add an ounce at a time.

I would get the mopar LSD additive, and add one oz to the differential, run it for a day,and if it stil does it add the other oz. My truck needed 2 oz after I changed the diff oil over to Shaeffers gear oil. If you ever get that . Sounds like you have a nice truck.

Yeah guys Im running amsoil synthetic, I think Im gonna flush it and put some fresh in and see what happens. I looked at my brake pads and they were great, if the axle bolts loosened up would it make it shudder? I dont know if they are, its just strange. I might try that additive. When I ever get home. Im over here flying in the sand box, oh what fun.
