tranny cooler

    subject: 1991 f 350 7.3 idi e 4od

    i'm installing a cooler on the e4od and just wondered what side of the radiator the return line is on? btw this is tranny #4 so i hope this does the trick........jason

    If memory serves me correctly, the passenger side is the supply, drivers return.

    If temps are killing your trans, get a good quality gauge to monitor it. The cooler will definately help but if it doesn't, auto zone will sell you a 10 inch fan to put in front of the cooler for $60. I did it and havent seen temps above 150 degrees since the install.
