Hay guys, I got a 09 2500HD, trying to wire up some strobes and figured I'd use the aux power from the trailer wiring as my power feed, got the back-up lights all wired up and they work great, but when i was goofing around with the beacon, i must have blown a fuse for the aux power... I checked the fuse box under the hood and in the door and couldnt find anything, pulled just about ever fuse so far... Does anyone know where that fuse is located? Just to make sure everything on my end worked i wired up the plug to get power from the parking light one, and it worked good, but the only problem is i have to have the parking lights on all the time to get power and i'd like to to be done right and getting power from the aux power

    Thanks

Aux trailer feed is fused in the underhood panel with a 40 AMP fuse. Takes alot to pop that one.

You need to put a 40 amp. maxi-fuse in slot 70 in the underhood fuse box
to power up the trailer power in the plug.
GM just installs a dummy plug in there from the factory.

Also SOME gmt-900s DO NOT have the wires hooked to the underhood
fuse center either for the trailer brake/power wires. Look for 3 loose wires
bundled and tied up in the engine compartment somewhere near the
    underhood fuse box/master cyl. area.
The owners manual is useless pg.487 and it sez to take it to a dealer
to install wires and/or that fuse.

    Try the fuse first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW: Do you mean the VYU plow prep beacon fuse is blown?
that is a different seperate 30 amp fuse.

    Ask me how I know!

Trailer power fuse position shown (07 model shown with dummy plug in place)
Can't remember which fuse is the VYU plow prep beacon wire fuse but it is a
    30 amp,
