    that's alota snow, but why wouldn't they just blow it up farther into the yards?

    Exactly....thats where they got the idea I'm sure. I've spent many an hour either beside a wagon getting a load, or on the pile packing it down.

    That's how they do it in my area....in the downtown area where there is no place for piles. They have one of those big snowblowers that mount on the front of the large wheel loader that has a motor of it's own, and they drive trucks next to it one right after the other. That way the blower is always running. I'd imagine that it is the same in most citys.

    I don't doubt you that it can be done faster with a bucket.....but would the snow take up less space after being blown in the truck? and be able to haul more snow per load?
