Ok guys, I found out my flexplate cracked recently and I figure while I have the tranny back, It would be a great time to swap converters.
I have a 1997 chevy K1500 ECSB with the Vortec 5.7L 4L60E, but I did put a mild comp cam in for more torque and the engine has higher compression than stock, but at the time I installed the engine I left the factory converter in, anyone have recomendations on a good plowing/towing rv converter

Stock will really be fine for what you do with it. You wont want a stalled torque converter while plowing. That trans wont last any time at all then. Maybe just get a new stock one.
