I have a 95 Chev K-3500 DRW with an 8' dump bed & 6.5 turbo diesel. The truck has a 4-spd auto trans, I believe the 4L8E. The truck seems like it won't engage the torque converter. It used to kick in about 45-50 mph, and would keep the RPM's at about 1700 or so @ ~60 mph. Now, the RPM's at that speed are about 2200. It always seemed to wait till the transmission was warm to work, now it doesn't seem to work at all. I'm thinking this could be a solenoid problem that is fixable without removing the transmission? I thought I rememembered reading this was a common problem on this era truck.. any ideas? The truck seems to shift fine otherwise. Thanks - Jason
