Over the years I have tried many things. WD40, vegetable based spray grease, silicone etc. I haven't tried Fluid Film yet.

What happens is the moisture gets inside one of the cables and displaces the lube. I have even though about using tape with a heating element and wrapping the entire shielded cable run. The Quick Shoot Toros are the fastest single stage blower out there except when the cable finally locks into one position.

Never use wd40 on cables like that. I used f.f. didn't have any probes last year. Make sure you use air and blow into both ends to get the water out first
