Hi to all: I just purchased a TORO POWERSHIFT 1028 with a 10hp Tecumseh engine.
My question is are these engines any good and what's the max snow(inches) this machine can handle????

My two-stage is 6.5hp and cleared a 22" path through 1.5' last winter....as long as i kept the auger and chute well lubed. I would imagine your determining factor is the height of the front of the machine. With 10hp you should really be able to move the snow!

maybe harbor freight needs to sell me a 12hp so i can upgrade:mechanic:
