tire size question

    on a 91 f-250 will it be ok to put 225/75/16 on this truck its a 4x4 im going to be using it for snow plowing. they are michelan ltx lt225/75/16 load range E

    their two small for the truck
    my one f250 has 235-85-16 and my other has 265-75-16

    Remmers,

    I think you should be in the 265/75 R16 range. Personally, I prefer wider tires which has been the subject of a bit of discrimination. 265's are skinny enough for plowing and large enough for hauling heavier loads and still maintaining good maneuverability. Plus, they look better than pizza cutters:cool: .

    I have 235/85/16 on my 97 f-250 and I think they are to narrow they came with the truck so I'll wear them out.I run 285/75/16 in the summer and the truck handles much better.
