I need to get new tires on my C2500 and want to run some 285's on the stock 16' rims. I have a 3 inch body lift on it, would they fit? Thats all I need to know.

16 foot rims?!? Those are huge LOL. According to the BFG website, a rim width of 7.5 - 9 inches is recommended. Your stockers are probably 6.5 wide. You didn't say what year your truck is, but I would think they would fit with the body lift.

315's will probably fit, just need wider rims.

I've ran 315's on stock rims on 2 different trucks. 285's will be just fine.......infact, prior to lifting, all of my trucks get them.

Sorry for the thread dig. Still unsure though, will I be needing wider rims?
