Tightening springs

    Can anyone tell me how to tighten springs? When i turn the nut the spring starts to twist do you need to disconnect them if so how hard is it to reconnect and any tips on how to do that

    I take a box end wrench and slide it over the spring end that goes through the spring tension bolt. Hold that while tightening. If those bolts are rusted, some PB Blaster on them might keep them from breaking when you wrench on them. Fluid film for future wrenching.
