Just curious as to wether or not the tires on my gmc 1500 Z71 are OK for plowing.I checked the load rating and the specs said the max load range was 2535 lbs.Im also concerned with traction. They are Bridgestone Dueler A/T's size 265/70/17.Thanks for any input in advance.

I used those for a couple years on my 1500, good tire wear-wise. Traction wasn't the best but still got the job done. Mine were 16's though.

    Tires?

I*M Not a Comerical Plower & I bought a pickup w/ 4 new regular treaded tires--highway--& I been plowing w/ them w/No problems I haven*t been Stuck yet!-but--there again I*M Not Plowing Commerically I have added cement blocks from the rear wheel wells back for Ballest & my Snow Blower & Gas powered snow Broom Tool Box & shovels & Odds & Ends Tow chain--Gas Can--Jack Ect it seems to be about Right balance Wise as Its Working Pretty Good! & seeing I only have 20 Private Customers where I really Don*t have to HURRY! as Commerical Guys Do! & My Regular Tires seem to be doing a Good Job I Guess? I*LL use what I have! & NOT Worry about having to spend a few Hundred for Snow Tires? maybee? Next Winter?? Ole Tower
