Guess you can't really say identical.....

Both trucks are 2006 Dodge 2500's CTD.

Both 8.2, new as of 10-10-07.

Had a Boss straight blade and 8.2 V that I sold and put these on....

I completely got into these at the wrong time of the season, and these prices are going to be somewhat thrown off because I JUST got the plow, already had the mounts and wiring from my old plows.

8.2 V was $4500 and the XT was $4800, assembled, plus tax.

I sold my '05 8' super duty for $2900 and the '05 V for $3800, both just the plows.

So is the other one a back up like the lawn equip or do you have someone else plowing with you?

My dad plows 3 commercial places when it snows after 3 am but before 7 am, at least enough to get them opened up. Usually it's more of a backup, although this year I'm picking up about 6 accounts, so it'll be used more.

How does the front end of the Dodge handle the new blade? Did you have to beef it up at all or does the mighty Ram handle it all on its own? Your set-up looks great. Very professional.

With no ballast in the rear end, the front end will sag, just a hair.

We put about 300 lbs of salt in the backend when the plow is on.

One thing I was noticing about the XT when I had it on; It doesn't angle 100% one way or the other. The left wing (if angling to the left) only goes back about 80%.

I'm assuming this is to take advantage of the higher wing, to get the plow to throw the snow farther.

I can't bite my tongue any longer......I'm gonna laugh my a$$ off when you grenade the front end on that 1/2 ton and or strip the tranny with a vee plow. Leaf springs and t bars from a mack truck won't even fix that.

Anybody got a heavy weight 10 footer for an s-10? Its ok, its got a radiator out of a Pontiac. wesport

It really is a good picture to show the difference! I don't think i could buy a regular V after seeing it next to an XT like that. Oh well!
