I have a plow truck with a central hydraulic pump, front and back blades. When I got it it had fluid that was heavier than most plow fluids or tranny fluid. I replaced it with generic hydraulic fluid (clear/yellowish) which was about the same thickness. Question: How do you know which type of fluid to run on a system if you don't know the brand? This is kinda heavy for very cold days so is there an additive that thins it out or something?
