Just got a call about a driveway. Guy tells me he had someone for years. This season he didn't hire anyone and has been trying to use a snowblower and is losing. Worst part,he tells me he has a bad heart! WTF are people thinking. Its been a long season so I told him I'll come over and see if I can do anything. Got to keep that karma topped off.

Sometimes its worth it just to help someone, then again sometimes it is worth it charge them a little extra for your time.

GV, you fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book..."I've got a weak heart".

Me too, from doing snow removal for so long.

The mentality of some people part 2

Plowed a driveway 4 days ago. Lady tells me to make sure I get her driveway the next time it snows. Stopped by Saturday night about 12 midnight to plow her circular drive. Both vehicles are parked in the circular drive. I did not plow.:dizzy:

I'm confused, you stopped by at 12 midnight on a Saturday and expected the vehicles to be... where?

There are guys on this site that would've buried them...the nerve parking in your own driveway overnight on the weekend.
I don't have any resi's that get done overnight, they all get done during daylight.

Midnight is too late to ask them to move cars to plow. Lose - lose situation. Drive doesn't get plowed, plow guy doesn't get any $$. :help:

    adapt,
    back drag from said vehicles.
then plow the rest of the drive.
plow in their vehicles :dizzy: fail
or use a pullplow or blower.

if all else fails, shovel it away fro their vehicles and plow the rest.

failure to service the drive shows a inability to perform services.

    jmo.

If it,s such a pita, drop them

On the parking pad that is connected to the circular drive. The conversation was about plowing the circular drive. She did not mention plowing the parking pad so that is where I expected the cars to be.

All my customers are told that I may be in their driveway at any hour of the day or night depending upon what time it snows.

Hope this clears up your confusion.
