Want to purchase a tailgate spreader. Am conserned even with the swing mounts about getting into bed of truck for removal of walk behind snowblower. Snowblower gets used often. Any comments on brands or modifications to accomodate??

Welcome to plowsite! There is a great search feature (button to click is in the top right corner of the screen) here that you should check out for past discussions about this subject. From what I remember the biggest concern with swing away set ups was that the spreader can only be swung out of the way while empty or close to it. This was because of the weight being too much for the swing frames if they were full. It sounds like the situation you are describing would require many "swings" (as opposed to once in a while to reload salt), so you might have to fabricate a heavier duty swing frame? Good luck.
