    http://www.swensonspreader.com

But do yourself a favor and check out http://www.highwayequipment.com.

World's ahead of Swenson and shorter $$. I have both, and have had nothing but trouble with the Swenson. My Super P's have been outstanding.

The APB's are real sharp, but real expensive.

I almost went that route, but it was tough to justify the added expense. What made up my mind was the fact that if the chassis breaks down, it eliminates the ability to move a V-box to another truck.

They certainly have their place, but I think it's only for large municipalities with enough redundancies that they can afford to be without one ice control unit per event.

Seen it, used it, loved it, hated it. Guy I did some sub landscape work for had one. (who also still owes me $2300 grrrr)

Great idea, but sits up to high on the truck (c4500 as its chest height to the bottom of the bed with the sides folded down), the center flaps are too thin of a gauge of stainless, they bend real easy when loaded with gravel. Throws salt like crazy. Works great for mulch, with the remote switch on the back. Put the wheel barrow under the back, flip the switch, the conver fills it up and your gone. Oh and did I mention it makes the truck super heavy. Neat idea. But still needs some refined ment.

If it was more like a permint landscape dump, it would save a lot of weight from not having fold down sides and bolt on side extendtions. Also the 3 way gate with the coal shoot adds lot of weight. also some how figure out how to get it to sit another 4-6" lower to the ground. It really needs to be mounted on a internatioanl 4300 lo pro to be really able to be used. I think the load capacity once its on a 4500 crew cab was 1.5 tons

I agree with Gse; I have 2-swenson boxes and a highway. Nothing but problems with the newer swensons and almost none with the old rusty, crusty highway. It just keeps going season after season.
