I'm looking at upgrading trucks and have found a few dually's that I like. Would it be possible to put a 9ft unimount blade on the A frame/headgear? It's currently a 7.6ft steel pro plow. Or just stick it out for the first winter with a dually using my 7.6ft and my pro wings (9.8ft) to save up for a v or power plow? Mostly I'm curious if the 9ft pro plows have different hydraulic ramps or pumps then my 7.6ft pro.

I'm just thinking that a truck mount, wiring harness, and blade can be had for much cheaper then a newer v or power plow and do the same work. Or do the blades and truck mounts cost more then I think?

A 9ft Uni pro will go right on your current setup Mark...everything is the same including the pump.

As far as swapping the plow to a different truck it would depend on the truck as to whether it would be cost effective or not. Some of the Uni stuff is tough to find for the later trucks. And if you have to do an Ultra to Uni conversion it gets to be even more $$. But at the same time so can updated and piecing together a used Ultra if it wasn't on a like truck that you intend to install it on.

Western swaps = $$ in many cases.
