Stuck throttle wont up shift

    Ok here it goes i have a 2001 4.6L Auto 4x4 and this is the second time when returning home that my throttle just revs up and stay in a lower gear. when i park it it stays revving at around 2000 rpms does anyone have a clue on whats going on

    If it has a throttle position sensor it could be bad. Mass air sensor could be bad or dirty. Read up in the repair manual it has test procedures that most time just needs a VOM or vacuum gage to test sensors etc.
