After only running straight blade Meyers for decades I ordered a Steel 8.2 DXT with Boss Wings today. I went with steel because corrosion isn’t a concern for me in Colorado and everything get washed down after every storm. Also with only the skin being Poly or SS they’re not impervious to rust so why have the extra expense. I should know in the morning when it'll get installed but hope it's mid next week. I been looking at V's and Bosses for quite some time and figured it was time to make the switch. I’m putting it on my 97 and I’m sure many will think I’m a fool but it just rolled over 60k on the clock, no rust so it has plenty of life in it.
Looking forward to getting a taste of what everyone claims a V is and how efficient they are.

Pics will come when it's one.

BTW I seem to remember we were going to have a beer or two when you were in Denver after the flood.

Buff, If you do any rural roads or rough gravel you might not like the Boss. If you just doing parking lots and driveways you'll be ok. Ask Brickman how much he likes his trip edge. I just sold my 07 Fisher EZ VEE and finished putting together a new Fisher XV2 tonight. Boss is almost $1,000 more than fisher and IMHO not worth the extra $$$.
Buddy here in town has 4 Boss's and he's jealous now............

Didn't realize Boss FINALLY came out with a trip edge plow. That makes ALL the difference on rough rural roads as a full trip knocks the hell out of the truck.....

The only gravel/dirt I have is my place and my in-laws.
I started researching V's a year or so back I was looking at Fisher/Western V's and would have gone that way but Boss came out with the DXT with trip edge last year. I think both are good products, one of the power equipment dealers I use is a Boss dealer and has shops on the north and south sides of my route and for Fisher it's on the east side of Greeley or east Denver.

Closest dealer here is nearly 200 miles away so i became a sub-dealer. I really don't depend much on dealers i nthis part of the country. The closest dealer for my Grasshopper mower is over 250 miles away. I just fix things myself. That's what happens when you live in remote areas.....

Yes I do, I've have 4.11's in the past which were great for pulling in the mountains but sucked in the hi-way.

Deer slayer bumper won’t fit and will need to be cannibalized to fit, so it’s going on the Blazer with a few minor mods. I’ll run the OEM one till I made another bumper.

Yes your X2 is snazzy and gave serious thought to getting one but went Red for local support.
Brickman sure has been pretty quiet these days, maybe I finally pissed the little round guy off.
