Okay I know I am really early on this being that the "potential Storm" isnt until wednesday or so.....

But what do y'all do to prep your rigs for a big storm?

today I changed the oil, and filter, because I wont have time to do it before we get hit if we do.

    air filter
    oil level
    trans fluid
    power steerin fluid / system
    brakes/ fluid
    all lights
    washer fluid

then obiously go over entire plow
(usually do all this the day before

then I load up the tool box / cab
    2 qts oil
    1 qt tranny fluid
    1 qt plow fluid
    fluid film
all the other good stuff is in there year round
    tools / ropes / tarps / clothes

Did you check axle oil levels?
    Transfer cases?
I have an old truck so I always check the top 2.
    Battery water?
Look for leaks with a creeper underneath?
Add a big hammer and crow bar ?
    Jumper cables?
Garden shovel to dig out of the pile?
A 5 pound fire extinguisher mounted somewhere might be a good idea too!
I hope you get more snow then we have received !
